NC Pipe Freeze plug isolation techniques
develop solid, reliable and workable freeze plugs
from the fluid within the pipe. We use the latest
heavy grade aluminum CRYO-LATOR® freeze chambers
which produce rapid freeze plugs faster than fabric
CO2 or conventional freeze jackets.
Once we have produced a workable
plug it is managed for the hold duration using
CRYOSTOP™ computer data logging, monitoring and
recording software. Each chamber is wired with
internal and external thermal couples and is feed
into a central control computer. In some
applications we use Digital Correlation and Digital
Doppler flow technologies to insure the integrity of
our freeze plugs.
Our pipe freezing processes allow your
modification projects to be performed without
discharging or recharging of the internal system
fluid. They help prevent the possible loss of
expensive process fluids and help to eliminate the
potential for catastrophic environmental spills.
